Would you pay $949,000 for a piece of history? Sold at almost 50 times its original estimate of $20,000 at a French auction house, Napoleon’s engagement ring to Josephine fetched this whopping price on Sunday.  It was held that date in honor of the 250th anniversary of Josephine’s birth.
